There have been some changes going on behind the scenes that I want to make everyone aware of. The first and most important change is that dlfreak is going to be taking a semi-leave of absence as guild leader for an undetermined period of time. I will be stepping into the slot of guild leader. We are in the process right now of transferring all the necessary access, and as soon as everything is completed you will see some changes appearing. I don't really think it's going to be a drastic change of events, and dl will still be an active guild member as his schedule permits, and he will be available to me for technical assistance. I hope everyone will be patient as we work out all the details and help us make this transition as smooth as possible.
So for now, and the foreseeable future, any issues you have requiring the assistance of the guild leader should be addressed to me. I plan to make a better statement than this as soon as I can get an organized presentation put together for you. For now I just wanted everyone to know the changes that are going on in the background. This will only affect the guild for the better, so please don't worry that things are falling apart. dl isn't going to disappear from the guild, or the boards. We are just having a bit of a change in administration. I hope I will have everyone's support as much as dl did, and I think together we can bring this guild back to life.
I'm totally open to all new ideas, so please don't hesitate to make suggestions for activities, or any other things you can think of to make improvements. You can pm or email or neomail, and I will answer as soon as I can.
The very first thing that needed attention was the matter of our council. We have had one very inactive member for some time, and that was due to a lot of personal issues that caused her to have constraints on her time. I'm speaking of Krisconcepcion, who I'm sure you all know as one of our most valued members. Over the years her dedication and creativity have enriched this guild immeasurably, and I think I speak for everyone in saying it has been much appreciated. However, for the time being, Kris just doesn't have the time available to her to be an active council member, so she is stepping down from her position. She did this in the past, and then came back to the council when another election came up, so this isn't necessarily a permanent action. For now though, we wish Kris all the best as a Magic Cloud member of the guild, and hope she will continue to think of us as her guild family. Hopefully in the future she will have more time to spend with us.
So, we will be holding an election for a council member position, and the other council members will move up in rank. (that's another access feature that dl and I are working on getting transferred so it will show correctly soon.) Please feel free to email or pm your application to me, and state why you want to be on the council, and a brief description of why you think you are deserving of the position, and what you would like to accomplish as a council member.
After I've received the applications the current council will choose the five most qualified members, and those five will be put to a general vote by the members. Their applications will be made available so everyone can read them and make an informed voting decision.
I realize this is throwing a lot at you all at once. I ask that you will please give me the same support you have given dl in the past. I want to bring this guild back to the level it used to be, with lots of member participation and activities. I will need all of your help to do this, so I'm counting on your ideas and creativity. Also, I ask for your patience in the inevitable booboos I'm going to make!
Please feel free to post in this thread any concerns or quesitons you have. I know if we work together we can bring the Silver Lined Clouds Guild II back to it's former glory!

It's sort of an overload. I've got to get used to this all. Anyway, congrats Bunny for being the new guild leader. I look forward to seeing how the guild will grow under your new leadership.
