There are several job openings available that we really could use some good members to fill. If you want to know what is available, please go to the job section on the website.
We especially could use someone as a welcomer. We don't give out welcome packs anymore as that's not permitted, but sending a nice neomail and a pm both, makes a new member feel welcome.
We also could use more guild discount shops.
Please take a look on the website, and if there is anything you think you might want to do, you can click on the application link there.
Please only apply if you are really willing to stick with it. If you have applied or held any of these jobs in the past, and want to continue in that capacity, please reapply.
Wouldn't it be great if we had a totally filled job page?

I've been trying to recruit people but every person that checks out our neosite is scared away by our 1300 member count. is there a way to lower that number just to the active members??? i think that would help a lot because im getting no luck =(

Really? That surprises me. The high number of members listed on the neosite was honestly one of the reasons I joined. I figured, hey, if they've got that many members, it must be a great guild! All of the ones I tried out with a smaller member count never really did anything.

i know that's one of the reasons why i joined too, but so far i've gotten one person to join and one is thinking about it. everyone else gets scared of our member count =/

I've been doing what I can with the job and recruiting, but it's really hard on my slow modem.It takes a good fifteen minutes to load the Neoboards now, and these message boards take nearly the same time, so usually I'm the last to know everything.

There is no way to alter that number on the guild membership statistic. It goes up and down automatically as people come and go.
All you can do is explain that there is a much smaller group that is active and actually maintains the guild. Some people join, and then just never come back to Neopets and aren't purged, so they are still on our member list.
Actually, I can remove people, but I hate to do that in case they come back to Neopets and wonder why we kicked them out! There used to be rankings according to the number of members that you have, but I would have to check on that. I think Neopets did away with that.
We may do a purging eventually of those that haven't shown up anywhere for years. Fairy and I have worked on that in the past, but it is very time consuming and doesn't really benefit any of our present members. Seems better to spend time on current things. But it's on the back burner.

i figured that was the reason. i just started telling people that we have a smaller group of active members and that seems to help a bit. and having people check out our website first seems to attract more people too because our new site looks so awesome =)

today i got a warning from TNT saying that i can't post our guild's website for people to visit, i can only give out our neosite url. i had no idea that was against the rules and i read through all the rules before i don't remember seeing anything that said that. so i kinda bummed. =(

I didn't realize you couldn't do that. Although I do know you can't put an outside link in any neomails, so I suppose that is what they are going by. Our website is an outside link.

That would have to be determined on a member to member basis. If you have been doing good at one job for a while and want to try a second one, it would depend on how much time they both would take up, etc. I don't think there is any hard and fast rule on how many jobs one member can have.
