ok i had put an item in the trading post..i marked it as NFT. but i had no idea what else to put on it because i knew i couldn't post anything concerning a guild. and it was an item i had to give someone in the guild but keeping it there til the time was right. so it was a present or gift..well to me that means, it wasn't for others to bid on....so what ever you do..do be careful about how you put things in trades. i got a violation email from neopets
uggg it won't let me paste the message!
of course i wrote back explaining why i stated nft..that it was a gift and the person would have had to bid a 1 np item for it when the time was right me to reveal who the gift was going to. and as far as i could read from their mail, i was not in violation of their rules. and how i felt like some of their rules were way too harsh...lol i might end up loosing my account but i am not someone who likes to do wrong and if i felt as if i had done wrong then ok..but according to their email i had not. and that i didn't want any strikes against my name in saying i had done wrong. and how i saw NFT daily on the trading post..and guilds and so forth so why was i singled out? i also stated that i hoped the person reading my mail wasn't vindictive and shut my account down because i did value my account and have worked hard for what i had. but again i would never do anything that i felt was in voilation...so if i get shut down..i am gonna be a mad somebody!

I wonder if maybe someone reported you? I admit I have reported someone before for listing a bunch of things and then saying they weren't for trade or sale or anything...basically they were just using it as a free gallery! I wonder if maybe someone got the wrong impression of your listing and reported it.... But I agree, I see lots of listings that say not for trade or reserved for (username)... Maybe to avoid this in the future you could just put reserved?

well see i think thats the same principal...not for trade to me just meant i didn't want bids..it had it a purpose..and to use the trading post as a gallery is not good because they kick out items after so many days....there are times especially at Christmas where i'll put items in for people but don't want to put their names on it so it won't ruin the surprise if they stumble across their presents browsing. and i am guilty of during drives putting...SLCG toy drive for the money tree...now that a violation but at the time i didn't know that...but still to me thats even a harsh rule because i think its nice to show your guild is doing something to give back to the community....i just think they get carried away by rules...like there are a bunch of ego manics in the neo sky looking for violators of silly things to freeze long standing accounts... to me its like a business and if you have a long standing customer..you try to take care of them..not insult them with minor infractions..maybe a kind note saying...its not a bad thing your doing but we like to use this space for specific puposes as a market place..but when it was explained it was a gift i just couldn't put a name on it at the time to ruin the surprise....well then a ok well thats not a crime but..next time if you could put this explanation instead of nft to confuse others into thinking your taking up space. to me i felt as if i had shop lifted or committed a huge crime. but i really think they are cracking down on the trading post cause just for example i was gonna report every person i could find with NFT so they could see were i was coming from and for a chance...i couldn't find any. but i did see reserved and thought i should report that as well if nft was outlawed..which to me is the same difference..it just means it has a different purpose than allowing others to bid on it

The thing with neopets is that they really crack down on what I consider "minor" details, like what you were going through, and they don't focus on all these noobs who come in and "cheat" their way to the top. Like you say, fairy, we all worked hard for our nps and pets and trophies and such, yet we are the ones who get the wonderful little warning messages if we do something they consider "wrong".
I don't even bother with the trading post anymore for a lot of the reasons you're describing. It can be dangerous, in a way.

I got a warning message a couple of years ago because I had things listed as being for the SLCG drive, and they accused me of "advertising" my guild. I hadn't even given that a thought. I had just put up a trade for one of our little jelly drives and stuck that name on the trade. Scared me though. I was afraid they might freeze my account and I've spent so much time and nps on my Christmas gallery.
