Okay. This election has turned into a major mess. I'm not going to whitewash it and make it ok. I am sorry I even put it up as a poll, even though that is what we used to do in the past.
Although Captvatng and Nfty had the most votes, after everything that has gone on behind the scenes today, I'm making a decision that Daisy is going to be our new Sapphire Cloud.
I hope this doesn't hurt anyone's feelings, or make anyone feel cheated. If anyone has questions please feel free to pm me and I will discuss it with you. Otherwise, this thread is going to be totally locked and this election is over.

this is crazy lol....i swear but being on council i would like some answers to whats going on even though i feel as if i know It was a silly mess but it seems under control. Bunnyrabt and I discussed in PM that the best thing to do with the election was close the poll and move it to the Council Forum so that the Council could discuss the results and make a final decision on how to appoint to council. (This is always how it was done, the polls were never the deciders of new council members, they were used to see how the community felt). I jumped the gun and went ahead and moved the thread myself which I probably just have just let bunnyrabt do (I'm still trying to get used to this less active role but this was pretty important!) Anyway, so I moved the poll forum to the private Council forum and it left the automatic "This thread has been moved" message in Guild General which I went ahead and modified to let people know that the poll was not deleted and that a new Council Member was coming soon. I didn't even imagine that people would get the impression that it was bunnyrabt stating that since it said that I'd edited the post at the bottom. At the same time, I didn't think it was a big deal since it was what we'd discussed. At any rate, what I should have done was left the "This thread was moved" message then posted my comment about the new council member coming soon message in a new post after that and then locked the thread. It was a big misjudgment on my part in the way I did that so I apologize to bunnyrabt about that if she felt I was stepping on her toes. Anyway, bunnyrabt and I both agreed that Daisy would be the best person for the position and she went ahead and made the decision to appoint her effective immediately! So as others have already said in the new thread, congrats to daisy on rejoining the council! |
