Sorry I wasn't on much last night, I was in a car accident and spent 6 hours in emergency room. I am ok, my car is probably going to be totaled. Some kid hit me in the rear while he was accelerating and forced my stopped vehicle into the stopped car in front of me. My rear bumper is pressed against my tires and facing downwards, not sure if there is any damage to the front didn't look like there was any, but it made any awful noise when you turned the front wheels. I am not going to be working today too much stuff to do.

Ouch! Glad you're okay, but you're going to be sore for awhile. Your car can be replaced.

So sorry to hear that Daisy!! That had to be very scary! So Glad you are ok. I will be praying for you this evening that everything is replaced with your vehicle situation.

Thanks everyone. I am still a little sore today, and mentally exhausted after dealing with the insurance companies all day. It turns out his insurance company has the minimum property damage coverage which in the state of PA is only 5000, which will cover everything for both other vehicles that were damaged. He will get a new car out of it no matter the cost, I alone probably will have 3500-4000 dollars damage plus car rental and storage charges till they decide if they are going to fix or total my car. My insurance company is going to pay me then go after them for the damages. My rates won't go up because I am not at fault. He got a ticket for reckless driving. And the police officer said he was going at least 25-30 mph when he hit my stopped car and he didn't even apply the brakes at all, no skid marks at the scene. So I will probably get another car, but I really liked that car only had it since September, it was a 96 but it only had 86000 miles on it. But there weren't any injuries in the accident except for my discomfort and back sprain, we all walked away when it could have been worse, so I am thankful for that.

I am so glad you weren't hurt worse than you were. What an awful shock that must have been! He just wasn't paying attention I suppose. I hope everything works out ok with your insurance settlement. It is so aggravating to have to go searching for another vehicle when you have one that you like.  I hope you find something that you are happy with. |

I saw him coming in my rearview mirror. He was looking down by his passenger side dash or on the floor while he was accelerating, that is why he hit me because he wasn't watching the traffic in front of him mainly me and the lady I hit. The sad part about it she was just getting ready to pull away when I hit her.

well hopefully you'll find another great car. the same thing happened to my mom and i a few years ago, we were stopped at a light in our ford expedition and this guy hit us going 30mph and he didn't even brake like the guy that hit you. there was only scratches on our bumper thought because we had a huge trailer hitch for our horse trailer on the bumper and it went through the guys engine completely! it just goes to show ya that there are so many people our there driving without paying attention to their surroundings. im glad no one got hurt though daisy.

daisy check your insurance...you might have the coverage underinsured or uninsured...and it seems as if he would fall under the under insured catagory...you can use that if need be..also if you have any doc appts due to the accident he probably has medical if he had collision on his vehicle...lol all those years working with my dad at state farm pay off= glad your ok!

actually Pennsylvania is a no fault state for medical my insurance has to pay no matter who is at fault. My insurance company is going to take care of me and my car and then go after his insurance to receive payment from them. I went to the dr. again today and he said if I am not any better by Monday he wants me to go physical therapy. My arms, legs and back are very sore. Since I saw it coming I must have braced myself for the impact and that is why I am so sore. I am going to attempt to go back to work tomorrow, but my job is physical I have to lift boxes to do some things. My insurance won't pay for anything less than 5 days off and I lose the first 5 days. I can't afford to be off work I have been off two days already.
