Have you ever gotten a gift item from someone and then wondered why you didn't see it in your inventory? Here are instructions for accepting a gift so it doesn't get returned. Near the top of your inventory is a list of actions that start with "jump to". One of those items is "Item Event Log". This is not to be confused with the Event Inbox which lists incoming Neomail, trades, and stuff. The Item Event Log is also called the Item Transfer List. (Neither is a useful label.) The Item Event Log is the only way to accept a gift that someone sends to you. You can also get to it here: www.neopets.com/items/transfer_list.phtmlTo accept the gift, click on the Item Event Log and then click on the "accept" button next to the item(s) and then click on the "process" button at the bottom right of the table. When someone gives you a gift, you have only 48 hours to accept it in the Item Event Log, or it gets returned to the giver. You also must have room in your inventory, so be sure to have fewer than 50 items on hand. (They're safe from the Pant Devil, too, if they're not in your inventory!)

THANK YOU for posting these instructions. I think I get more things back than I actually get sent to someone because of these pesky rules. However, the Neopet rules have to be followed so it is a great idea to have them here so that members can read them, especially new ones.
Good thinking, Capt.

Thanks Capt for posting these instructions maybe I won't get so many things back anymore. But neo rules are neo rules.

OH, good job, capt. I'm glad someone finally posted this, especially for the noobs. Of course, I've been on neopets for years and I still forget sometimes, so this is a useful little posty.
