I see everyone has like these really cool avatars and sparkly signitures. How do you get them?  (I saw there was another post similar to mine but the link on that one wasn't working) |

My daughter-in-law, Kari, made a lot of them for us. She was here for a while and did a lot, but now she isn't coming around so I doubt if she will make any more for a while.

Yeah, she's the one who made my siggy.  As far as avatars go, there are some great websites where you can find free ones. I get all mine from www.iconator.com. |

Oh, I forgot to mention that there are also a lot of free signature generators out there too. I was using those before Bunny's daughter-in-law made this one for me.

I thought iconator.com was for aim only. Is there a special format you have to put them in?

No, it's for other things besides aim. Just click on the avatars home link. Then you can do a search for an avatar you like. Then right click on the avatar you want and click "properties" and highlight/copy the location address under "image properties". Then go to your profile here on the boards and paste it in the box labeled "avatar url." Also, make sure the box above that, labeled "avatar," has "none" selected. That's how I did mine anyway. |

I don't think they have signatures, but here's the address of a signature generator I've used before: www.mylivesignature.comAnd here's a fun glitter one I found: www.sparklee.comThis is an example of a glitter siggy you can make:  To use a signature like that, right click on the finished signature and click "properties." The highlight/copy the location under "image properties" (same as with avatars). Then go to your profile here, and type in ![]() in the box labeled "signature." Paste the image location from your signature, and then type [/img]. |

You're welcome! Oh, that's weird....the bottom part of my previous post got cut off some how... It's supposed to say this: In the signature box type ![]() then paste in the image location of your siggy and type [/img] Sorry for any confusion! |
