Okay, guys... It seems to me like we've been getting less and less participation in this activity. I had something fun planned for everyone who participated this month, but I didn't get even one entry. I didn't enter myself this month because I've already won several times. So, I thought maybe I'd see what everyone felt on this issue. If you all want to keep doing the spotlight, I'm more than happy to keep running it. But if you've all lost interest, then maybe it's time to make a new activity? Of course, Bunnyrabt has the final say in whether the contest stays or goes, but I'm sure she'd be interested in your feelings.

I personally think this is a great activity; I'm guilty of not having entered yet, though. I feel like we should be able to keep it and hopefully continue it, maybe if we just adjust a little. Like, I think the time between challenges (about 3 weeks) is a little too short. Especially for people who just entered and want to enter again, they probably would like some time to sell the furniture they bought just for the last challenge and don't need anymore, they probably need time to take everything out, purchase new furniture, and arrange it. I don't know...with everything that makes this time of year (and every season, I guess) really busy, I think people would be more able to do the competition with it being less frequent and with occasional reminders that the deadline is approaching. Another thing I see that we could change perhaps is that the competition involves building a room based on the theme of the month. It's sometimes difficult to participate if you have no furniture already that deals with that theme or a room already sort of like it. Because then you have to buy all new furniture, and sell it when you're done if you would like the nps back. So maybe we could do the Neohome Spotlight, like...every other month or something, and instead of having a specific theme, perhaps just say...enter the room in your Neohome that you feel most proud of..or just a bit more specific, like enter your dining room. That way people might be motivated to work on their Neohomes, and keep them that way instead of selling off furniture and cleaning out after every competition. These are just my thoughts because I really would like to see this activity continue. If it works out, I will try to remember to participate myself.

Those are some great ideas. I had actually been thinking about increasing the amount of time in between challenges, like maybe doing it quarterly instead of every month.
Any other thoughts?

I think increasing the time between the challenges might help a little bit.
It started as general rooms, like bathroom, etc, and really only got seasonal with the fall seasons. I think the Christmas morning room was a fun idea, and the dining room since it was Thanksgiving was a good challenge in November. There aren't holidays every month, so I don't think it hurts to have the challenge more seasonally specific now and then.
I will pretty much go along with whatever you want to do, Autumn. It's been your project from the beginning and I trust your judgement on how to best handle the spotlight.
I wonder if it would help if we posted what the prizes would (randomly) be for that month's challenge?

A little incentive never hurts. I've decided to extend the Christmas Morning contest until midnight on Friday, December 12. And I'll be posting what the winner will receive shortly. So that gives you all a few days to finish up your rooms. I think that after this month we'll take a few months off so we can build our bank accounts back up, lol. Thank you all for your input, it was really helpful.

I think the neohome spotlight is a great idea, but I just haven't had the time to enter every single one because of class and work. But I think the idea of spreading out the time between each one is great because then I would have more time to work on my rooms! =)
