I personally love writing. I have just recently discoverd the neopets writing competetitions (I'm talking like a couple days ago recent) and thought, "How cool is that??" Only one problem, not everyone gets excepted. I still haven't heard back from them but am not going to get my hopes up. So I was wondering what the guild leaders thought about maybe adding writing competitions in! I don't know how many writers there are in this guild (who are active) but since there's already a guild mystery pic and other guild competitions I thought it would be fun to read each others work and maybe even judge a winner (of course if that were to be the case we probably wouldn't put our names on it). But I'd love to hear and talk to fellow writers/readers of the guild! I'm just tossin' that idea out there, and if this seems too hard, and too complex to orginize then I fully understand and will not push the matter. It's just this way peoples poetry, art, and stories could all be seen no matter what! Again just tossin' that out there!

We usually have a story competition when we do a theme week, which unfortunately we haven't done for some time.
Let me see what I can come up with for a Christmas story competition. I think we could get some entries.

They haven't had one since I've been in the guild, so I'm curious as to what it is as well, though I kinda have an idea.

Usually a theme week is done around a holiday, and the guild gets together a bunch of activities for everyone to participate in like a shop theme competition, a coloring competition, a story competition, gingerbread house comp., etc. And there's a lot of giveaways to the winners and there's usually a grand prize(usually a paint brush) given out too. But I don't think the guild has done one since last christmas. It takes a lot of planning to do one so I don't think the council has had time for one recently. But hey maybe sometime soon! =)

I think we're having a half theme week with the plushie drive and the secret santa going on already. I wonder if someone would be willing to run a story contest, and it wouldn't have to be christmas themed, maybe it could just be a wintery story, and the deadline could be around new year's or a little after? Just thinking.. it would be one more fun holiday activity we could get in. Maybe there could be a story contest, there's already been the neohome contest... Maybe I'm getting carried away, but a story contest would be awesome!

As I mentioned earlier, I am planning on doing one. I'm going to try to get it up this weekend.
It will be a "finish the story" type of thing like we usually have with a theme week.
