Hey guys..if you've been wondering where I've been I've been a bit under the weather. I get on long enough to try to catch up a bit and that's about it. I'm feeling better now except for a headache that just lingers. I was able to actually fix dinner for my Mom's birthday this evening, but other than that for the last few days I haven't been doing much. I think I overdid it at Christmas. I've got to make a trip to Lafayette tomorrow, and then Saturday I have an all day conference for Lia Sophia. I guess I better perk up.
Also, next Wednesday my dad is having a pretty serious surgery in Indy, and we have to be over there by 6:00 a.m. I probably will spend the next couple of days in Indy after that, so I may not have much computer time for a few days. Then when he gets home I'll be over at their house part of the time too.
Just wanted to let you know what was up with me so you wouldn't worry.

Take your time,we will be here when you get back. I am praying for your Dad. I just went through the same thing my dad was in the hospital for a week and they weren't sure what was wrong with him. My parents live in Ky and I am in PA so a visit was not possible. I have had this lingering cough and headaches for about 10 weeks now and the doctor says nothing is wrong. I hope you get better and try not to worry it only makes things worse, and you need to rest and concentrate on getting better. We miss you when you aren't here, but will be glad when you are better.

I just got home a little bit ago from Mom and Dad's. Dad's surgery has been postponed because he is sick and is much too weak. He's usually so healthy so this is just so out of character for him. He has a stomach virus, and it has made him so dizzy that he has fallen twice. He was dehydrated so yesterday afternoon was spent at the doctor's office so he could get an IV for fluids. He's better now but he just won't eat much, so he's not getting his strength back. I baked some homemade baking powder biscuits that he always likes and took them over this evening and he didn't even want any of them. Hopefully he'll eat tomorrow. So now his surgery will be on the 28th of this month. I wish it hadn't had to have been postponed because that aneurism worries me to pieces. I'm feeling better, and as far as I can tell I can actually stay home for a couple of days to get caught up on things. I'm hoping to devote some time to the guild and to my Lia Sophia business because both things have been taking a hit where my time is concerned. I'm behind on everyone's birthday's, members of the month and everything. Thanks so much to all of you for being so understanding. It means a lot to me.

A little update:
Dad had his surgery today in Indianapolis at St. Vincent's Heart Center. It went very well and he is recovering nicely.
However, the drive over this morning was HORRIBLE! We had the tenth worth blizzard we've had since 1910! Dad drove the van, which does good in the snow, but I would have felt better in my truck that has 4-wheel drive. Anyway, getting to Mom and Dad's house from my house was awful at 4:15 this morning. Nothing had been down our street, and the snow on Country Club Road and Wabash was about a foot thick and only a couple of vehicles had been down it. The fastest I could drive down Wabash was between 15 and 20. So I got there about 4:30 and we got going. We drove past the ramp onto 74 because we couldn't SEE it!! We got to the bridge and I said we had to have gone past it so we've got to turn around. We finally saw it because a semi was coming off of 74 and shined it's lights over that way. You could barely tell where it was from some tracks where something drove it earlier. From then on it was downhill. I think the fastest we went at any time was 45, and the off ramps weren't plowed at all and they were terrible and slick. Every time a semi passed us we couldn't see anything at all for a few minutes. We thought surely 465 would be better, but it was worse than 74, and Michigan Road hadn't been plowed at all. There was one semi trailer overturned in a ditch, and several cars off the road. We were so glad to see the parking garage at St. Vincent's. I know it was stressful for Dad and on top of the whole stress for the surgery it was exhausting. So anyway, we got over there in spite of the weather and things were ok for the most part. Coming back to Crawfordsville wasn't any problem at all, so I think the worst is over. Mom and I are going back in the morning, and again on Friday, so I may not be on much for a few days. Just wanted to let everyone know what's going on and why I'm not around very much right now.
