i think it is a cool lookin avatar, but i just don't see the point. tip to stargem: just buy a whole bunch of junk for like 1 np. put it in your sdb and i think you might find it easier. but i have no idea because i don't have it and am not going to take the time to get it

it took forever to get mine but it seems to me that things are cheaper now than when i did it, not only that but i wish i would have waited to do it when it was in the month of dec. those advent calendar items would have helped alot. but i am a bit obsessive complusive so when i go for things like pack rat or lab map, i can only focus on that until i get it. but i do like my pack rat avie.

Me too, about 1/3 of the way there with 318 items. Sigh, gonna take a while! And now that they changed the auction scenario again it is hard to find cheap items. There used to be scads of stuff at the auctions but now they raised the minimum auction opening bid to several hundreds of NPs.  Now when I go searching for a particular item I also scan that persons stock for anything cheap that I might not have. When I get that avvie there is going to be a HUGE sale! Ha ha ha! Or maybe I will run a few giveaways from this board for others striving for the same thing! |

yes all have to be different items...i have often thought about making a list of pack rat items to search for. if i do make one can i send it to dl and let him post put it on the website front page? that way any member seeking it can find the cheapest items to search for. i guess i need to ask him huh? well good luck and if i knew what you had i might could send you a few things...but i sold most of my items.

in case anyone else is trying to get the avie, i have a ton of stuff in my shop all priced to sell. mostly i have so much to get rid of that i'm tired of looking on the wizard for prices so most of it's below market..... hope it helps someone out, i also gave stargem several items for the auctions and if i run across anything that was specified as giveaway items i'll hang on to them... any suggestions on what to do with what's left?

For all new packratters, make sure you remember that it's DIFFERENT items. Meaning 1/3 of an omelette and a whole omelette are two different items. That'll help expand your items by at least 20 if you get all the different amounts of all the different omelettes. Even if you only get the common omelettes! Same with jellies! And the cheap stuff helps too! Go to Tombola, those bottles of sand and keychains that you get FREE count! And half eaten berries, old boots, peices of wool and barbed wire. If you get all of these things I've mentioned here you will be close to 100 with nothing but cheap stuff! |

Anyways....Thought I'd post it, maybe it'll be of some help. It's basically a list of around 800 cheap items to help you with the avi.
