Pet Transfers for Avatars!

The purpose of this thread is to list any pets that are available to borrow specifically for unlocking secret avatars. This actually is not against the rules.

TNT's Terms and Conditions

"The pound should not be used to transfer Neopets to new owners, selling Neopets to other people is a freezable offence."

"...you CANNOT charge people to adopt a pet..., nor can you ensure a particular Neopet will go to a certain person. As soon as a Neopet is placed in the pound it is available for ANYBODY to adopt."

TNT does not recommend you lend pets specifically for unlocking secret avatars in the case that the new owner decide not to return the pet, but it is not against the rules to transfer pets for avatars.

What does it all mean?

In other words, I cannot ask for anything in return for the pet, not even collateral as that technically would be selling the pet, which you will notice that I will not. I also cannot guarantee that you will in fact adopt the pet, just as you cannot guarantee that I will recieve the pet back. Someone may intercept the transfer while the pet is in the pound. However, there are ways to drastically decrease the risks involved.

TNT does not recommend the lending of pets. They say you SHOULD NOT not CAN NOT lend pets. Therefore, this is completely legit!

Lindseyacron's Rules for Borrowing Pets

As you can only disown one pet per day, I will not loan a pet to you if you have already disowned one. Absolutely no exceptions, you cannot keep my pets any longer than absolutely necessary for unlocking the avatar. This also means that only one person per day will be able to borrow a pet, which could mean that you might have a long wait depending on how far down the list you are.

The pets are available on a first come, first serve basis. For this reason, I ask that you post in this thread if you are interested in borrowing one so that I may see who is next in line.

DO NOT REMOVE THE PETPETS THAT ARE ATTACHED!!!!!

I am VERY particular to whom I lend daveyboy, so please do not take it personal if I tell you no at first. It simply means that I want to get to know you better, or I want to make sure that you are capable of transfering her back to me safely. I am adept at transfering pets between my own accounts, but I don't have that option when transfering to someone else, and that makes me jumpy since I don't have as much control as I would like.

If anyone has any questions about my ability to transfer pets, feel free to contact fairy_tale_girl64, dlfreak, bunnyrabt, or rosanne_k04 (not currently an SLCG member). They can vouch for my aptitude with transfering pets to people as I have transfered pets to all of them on at least one occasion.

There are no costs to borrow a pet except for the adoption fees associated with adopting and disowning and, if applicable, the cost for any specific items needed to unlock the avatars. The adoption costs are listed below each pet's picture, while it cost to disown a pet is always 250 NP. I cannot say what the price for any items may be, as they change too frequently.

Tips are obviously not required, though I do greatly appreciate them to help with the costs of disowing pets to those that are borrowing them.

I may change these rules at any time with or without notice as I see fit. Please be sure to check back frequently to stay updated.

Uni50517734 Adoption: 89np	Grey Wocky - *sigh* View Uni's lookup while you own her.
deny794823 Adoption: 80np	Jetsam - Chomp! Feed deny any Aquatic Petpet. (]Neopets Made Easy has a complete list of Aquatic Petpets available on the Pet & Petpet Poser, though I have found that typically a Sproing or a Walein tend to be the cheapest.) Jetsam - Wanna Fight? Fight in the Battledome to or as a Jetsam. (I will not allow you to fight with deny, but you may challenge him and lose if you still need this avatar.)
HardKnockLife Adoption: 178np	Bless You - Shoyru Bless your Shoyru with any bottled faerie. I will provide the faerie for you since he's only a level 2 we want to make sure that he will actually be blessed and I know which ones have currently been used on him, just be sure to activate the ability before entering the battledome. Shoyru - Tough! Win a fight in the Battledome. (He's still basically a baby, so fighting against the Inflatable Balthazar if you've never fought against him is the best thing for right now.) I'm also fixing to transfer him to my other account to start zapping him to get his stats and such up and to head to Deadly Dice to get his levels up.

i was wondering something, daveyboy has oreo the snowbunny attached, oreo's not quite old enough to get me the avatar, but when she is, if i lend davey to someone that doesn't have the snowbunny avatar and oreo is old enough to unlock it, will they get the avatar too?

^ Yes. You will be able to get the Snowbunny avatar with that pet as well if the petpet is attached for 365 days, that is.

in that case, once my petpets are old enough, even if the pet does not get you an avatar I will add those pets for loan as well, like my mutant techo has a mazzew attached

Isn't there a risk of loosing your pet if you put it in the pound?

there is a slight risk, but you eliminate most of it simply by using the quick adopt link.... i have successfully transfered pets back and forth between my accounts where i was the only person transfering them, i helped dl transfer phie his faerie lenny over to slcg_ads yesterday, it is possible, but it is rare the way i do it to lose a pet

I think it's a good idea, lindsey. Of course there is that slight risk, but from what I've read, you are good with successful transfers. Thanks for offering your pets to members to get avatars. I hope all of the pets you transfer are returned back to you safely..

wow lindsey you are so very generous..thank you so much and imost certainly would love to borrow your pets...need to get your other one back first so i can have the room..but i admit it scares me too...i would feel so guilty if we lost one of your precious angels

Does it work for dial up cause that is the connection I have. It is pretty hard to do with my connection.

yes, it works for dial up.... the best thing is to follow dl's rules, though he may have removed them and while my site is down due to my host transfer, i guess i could just explain a little here.....

you will be talking through a live chatting program, i only have aim and yahoo messenger so it has to be one of those....

i will give you a link that you will paste into your address bar, it is called the quick adoption link and it has that pet's specific name at the end since you'll be adopting it

all you'll do then is wait for me to tell you to "go" in the messenger which as soon as i do, you hit enter or go or whatever it takes to follow that url in your browser and you should have the pet, now you do have to be pretty quick about it, but for anyone that wants to practice, I have a bruce and a moehog that i use for people that have never done it before

you can reserve both of them, because you i can only lend one pet per day, so either way i'll have daveyboy back when you want to borrow one, so i'll put you down for both davey and uni tngirl

well, coolgirl hasn't gotten back with me, so tngirl's up now send me a message on aim or yahoo and we'll set it all up remember that you can only disown one pet per day though, so this will be at least a 2 day process

Not sure if I mentioned this but if you have a pet with sneezles, you can transfer that pet too to get the Mueka avatar.
