 There's a few steps to getting this one: 1. Go to www.neopets.com/music.phtml2. Right click on the white area next to the images. Click on View Source. (If this doesn't work, go to VIEW>SOURCE) 4. Hit Ctrl + F, and type avatar 5. Copy the highlighted web addy and paste it into your browser. That's it!  |

i have no clue, but i'm glad they did! i decided to check the source after someone suggested doing it and couldn't even find the music page but i never ever would have thought to do that unless they'd said something first |

Hmm..go to the link posted up there, and you know the white background all over the page? Right-click anywhere on the white background and a list should appear. On that list, click on View Source. A window should open. Press CTRL and F on your keyboard (or go to Edit, then Find... at the top of the window) and the Find box should pop up. Type in the word avatar and click Find Next. It should highlight a url in the text that has a really long number in the end. Copy and paste the entire url into your browser and click Go or hit enter.

I don't know how they came up with this way to get the avie,lol. I thought it was kinda neat though. I knew when I first saw it that it would have something to do with the Music page, but I got the actual steps from people on the Neoboards.

I knew when I first saw it that it would have something to do with the Music page, but I got the actual steps from people on the Neoboards. same here, i had an actual hint to view the source, just not what page... she never actually said it was on the music page, but i couldn't find the music page for anything, even running searches for it, so i asked her for the link to the music page and she gave it to me and said that that was how i would get it then went ahead and told me, definitely an off the wall way to get an avie... but i like it except i've got a couple of people wanting me to just go get the code for them and no matter what they can't get it through their thick skulls that i can't get it for them they have to do it themselves (hence my new personal message under my avatar and my extra line to my siggy) |

I figured it had to do with the music section on Neopets but I wouldn't have guessed all those steps involved.  ^ The music section icon/link looks so much like the avatar, and plus the avatar has 'music' in it's url. That's as much as I would probably know.  |

okay, ish, go to the music page which someone posted the link already... when you're there, right click on the screen which brings up a lot of options, close to the bottom of the option list it says view source or view page source (if that doesn't work hit control+ u) then another page will pop up, maximize the page and hit control + f which allows you to search that page... type in avatar and it will bring you to a link (mine showed up in green, but i don't know if yours will or not) highlight the url and hit control + c to copy it close down that page and go back to the neopets music page and paste that url into your browser's address bar, when you click on it it should highlight the address already in it, then just hit control + v to paste it and hit enter to go there that should work |

thanks lindsey for walking me through that one... you have to wonder how in the heck anyone found that one...but makes me wonder if it isn't someone working in neopets that reveals hard avies.
