A packrat buddy is someone who is collecting for the packrat avatar who you team up with to help each other get the avatar. You send each other doubles of things you already have in your SDB (for example all the junk you get from underwater fishing). I currently have a ton of extra stuff so if anyone who also wants the av wants to by my packrat buddy just post here.

I haven't gotten this avatar, do you really need to have 1000 different items in your SBD to get the avatar? That seems like a ton of items to have.  |

Cause there are so many cheap items out there. And remember when you're collecting that a plain omelette and 1/3 plain omelette....that's two different things. And with all the jellies, half eaten berries, and old shoes lying around too....you'll be at 1000 in no time! |

I would suggest getting lost desert food and burnt food, tombola items, broken toys, underwater fishing items, healing potions, cheap keychains, cheap usukis, advent calendar items...You can go to www.neoitems.net to find lists of items in lots of different categories. You have to sign up for an account in order to use that site but it's really simple. |

i also suggest looking for gross and spooky foods as well, those tend to be pretty cheap too.....

heres another suggestion...if your in a hurry then its more expensive but if you take your time and just collect things as you get them it will come..and don't sell anything but those you have more than enough of. just think at xmas you get all those advent items..right now all those mcdonald items...we're talking about atleast items not to mention those you have right now. and maybe pick up a couple of cheap items as you go..but i found the last 1000 to be the hardest but i hadn't been playing but maybe a couple of months when i took on this challenge. so i had very few nps...very few freebies and not much knowledge. and i wanted it right then lol

Princessbecky posted the link to a pack rat list in the pack rat avatar thread: www.i-petz.com/games/Packrat.htmI used that for part of my pack rat item shopping...It's a list of a lot of different items that you can find for 200 np or less. While I was using it I noticed some of them are no longer less than 200 np..their prices have gone up, maybe because certain items can now be used for avatars or something. But most of them should be cheap. |

i already have the packrat avie, but i'll lend items out too, or just give duplicates but i don't want to set up a whole lot of trades unless i know what y'all are needing, so let me know alright, like if you go to neoitems.net and see a whole lot of things that you need, ask me if i've got them, or just check out my gallery and shop, cuz i dont have a problem loaning stuff from their either |

Don't worry...I started off far from 1000 different items when I was aiming for the pack rat avatar. It took me a long time, but with patience you can get all these free items that help! Play tombola, fruit machine, and coltzan's shrine every day, get the mcdonald's daily giveaway, advent calendar in december, and freebies once a month.
