well, it's just a recent thing but yes, there is now a petpet lab ray, though the only reason I would go for it would be because of the avie.... any petpets zapped lose their color or species changes if you unattach them (except for the pile of soot) you can't get the ppl award if you're zapping a pet either, so basically nothing at all from that ray is permanent except for the pile of soot which also gives you an avatar and you have to have the original lab map before you can even see the link for the petpet map on the treasure maps page

Yeah..Lindsey pretty much summed it up. The only reason I would go for it would be for the av but I dunno..I don't have the regular lab ray on this account so I would have to complete that first and then go for the petpet one and buy a petpet and zap it till it turns to soot..all for one av..I wouldn't be surprised if I decided to skip this av.  |

that's true, i mean maybe i should reserve this avie for after i've gotten the adam avie so i know i'm a multi millionaire, then once i've unlocked that one i'll have the np to buy the hidden tower item and the fqd, then the maps if i don't already have them, but wish in one hand you know.... can't complete the saying cuz of *censored* words but you all get the jist of it |

I was just looking on the Neoboards and someone who had the sludge avatar said when they detatched the pile of soot it turned back into the original petpet. Just thought that was an interesting bit of news.

it HAS to be a glitch, because Donna said in the editorial that they wouldn't turn back.... who knows though, maybe tnt's having problems with that little facet to the whole thing, i mean how could it actually tell what the petpet was before you first started zapping it or what color it had been painted to before you started zapping it? oh well, any who |

not sure but the aspect of it being rare because not many have the petpet lab ray was not a thought i had but i can see that but i am sure eventually tons of people will have it like lab ray. i wish they would let you turn it back though after a while. or change species

well, like i said you can always use a petpet morphing potion, though they're not cheap... but i kinda like the pile of soot unfortunately you know that it won't ever get a ppl award but they still have the petpet spotlights |

Your eyes recover quite quickly after the giant explosion, but that's more than you can say for your Petpet. The Kookith is kind enough to sweep up Sir Bob of Geraptiku for you and you head home.

yeah but from what was posted earlier you can detach your petpet and get the old one back to what it was without morphing it..or am i wrong?

your right, all you have to do is stop playing (or detach) the petpet and it will return to the original state  |
