is anyone besides fairy_tale_girl64 and hpesoj doing random giveaways now? teenage hasn't done one since march 22, raz hasn't done one since feb. 26, ginny hasn't done one since march 22 and hasn't been spotted in 10 days and pinkpiggy hasn't been spotted in 43 days. I don't understand this. Did you guys quit or are you just taking breaks. I wanted to do like kristin and give gifts out like once a month, but it says in the guild that we have daily giveaways and that hasn't happened since I joined. Just wondering if I'm lost somehow or if anyone else has noticed.

I agree, it hasn't been on a regular basis. I'm not a gift giver, but I give generously to the shops and to members on quests. Maybe I should think about being a gift giver too. Are you thinking you want to be one too lindsey, or are you just asking in general?

i've noticed it too... I would... but I am can only do them on theme weeks like i have done... cause of the money and the time.

Maybe we would have better participation by the gift givers if we gave prizes that weren't quite so expensive. Or just one prize, instead of several.

Maybe if we had more gift givers, but not so expensive of prizes it would work out better. We could set a limit on the cost. That way it wouldn't be such a burden for the givers.

Or just one prize, instead of several. i totally agree here, most people would be gift givers because it's 5000np per week, but then when you start giving gifts that are costing that each time you give them away and you have to do it at least twice a week, you quickly realize that you're losing np in the deal... but i would like to remind everyone that dl does say that all wages are negotiable.. so anyway, i guess i'll go ahead and take it up again... hopefully dl will update the site and it will say lindseyacron instead of lindseycron0! |

I totally forgot about it being a paying job. I usually didn't take pay when I was a welcomer, as a sort of donation to the guild, so I forgot that you do actually get some nps to work with. I've never been a gift giver...is it daily or a couple times a week?

you're supposed to do a giveaway at least twice a week and each one is supposed to be codestones, faeries, dubloons, or any items matching them in prices. well, one dubloon coins are 3000 usually, faeries are anywhere from 35 to 4000 and i don't even want to get into codestones, they fluctuate so much, so it's almost not worth it, but since i'm doing the shops, i really wouldn't be losing np, and all i want is to be able to afford to do it
anyway, i just neomailed dl about it and waiting for his permission to take it back up

yeh try to limit the giveaways maybe to 3500-4000 that way you make some nps on the prize jobs... and than you can make some profit... and than the gift giver could save up more money and than are able to give them mroe often or what not.

i am spending right at 5k and sometimes over but i really get carried away in doing it..i love finding gifts and setting up packages...not sure i could do just one gift but i am sure you have figured out i am excessive in everything about me. i go to extremes lol...just me! i know whatever i win i am happy with. but it is real hard for me to stop at 5k i keep finding things and i do stop myself by saying ok one day that person will win again so save that thought for next time they win. so in general most of my prizes have ran about 5100 up to 5300k twice a week.

Other people you may know better and know what kind of items they like...
Like Kris likes faerie foods.

and i like mystery island stamps- execept the two i have, furniture, petpets or petpet furniture-just don't need gardening stuff..or any stamps that go for the avies..i just started that...only have two or three mystery island stamps thus far.

well i knew the kind of things you like but when trying to make a list for people i also tried thinking in advance what i can buy for others lol i already have bought ahead of 10 winners. but some are packages i have put together because i didn't know what some wanted. so now i can shop for kris in advanced now i know what she likes but as long as she has played i am worried i will only get her a duplicate of something she already has  . so if you want to im me about things you know OTHER members want please do...it really means alot to me to try to get items that a person will like and some don't like to give you suggestions!!! you guys have to remember i just started here in feb and i don't know everyone as well as most. but i am trying to get to know everyone. also, i only have like 6 people that have sent in wish list. so any suggestions towards certain people or just ideas in general of theme type packs let me know please. thank you guys so much. |
