I didn't participate in this year's Secret Santa thingy because I much prefer to give gifts than to receive them. That didn't stop some members from going overboard with presents to me. On top of "official" and unoffical giveaways, and their own secret santa shopping, they shopped for me, too. I can easily say that the NP value of the gifts I received totalled more than what is being given away in the current theme week. (And if you've looked at just Dlfreak's listed gifts, you know I'm not talking small potatoes!)
The Council members, especially, are some of the most dedicated, sharing individuals I know. All the folks who gave me gifts have their own wish lists and certainly could have spent the NPs on their own galleries. I am humbled and grateful that they thought of me. (Okay, and a bit annoyed at the small fortune I'll now have to fork out to put that bounty into my gallery.
)
So thank you. You know who you are.
I hope their generosity will inspire the rest of the guild members to extend a small kindness to someone else, even if it's just to send a few extra omelettes the way of a member who has lots of pets to feed. (Yes, even if they *can* afford to buy food, it's still nice to have your pantry filled by someone else.) It just feels good to give, doesn't it?
