Ok So I started reading the series in the middle of june and was finished in 3 weeks, I'm really mad that its gonna be another year or more for the next one. I went through all the spoilers and was going to comment in them however, I wanted to also discuss the previous books too. I was really surprised that people older than the preteens and teens would find the books interest. I was shocked I started to like them after the first one, and wanted to keep going!! I kept going to my neighbors, get the book then go back and get the next one and the movie from the last one.
I do have to say, the first two movies I liked because they followed along with the books. The last two I would say I'm disappointed. Granite, it is a different director but they could've stayed with the story. They make Harry and Hermione ( I love that name it is sooooooo pretty!) look like they are going to get together not her and Ron. Which I do say they would be a much better fit because they're personalities compliment each other so well!
Back to the books. I was really happy in Prisioner Of Azkaban when Harry found his Legal Gaurdian Sirius. I was sad that he couldn't stay with him for the summer instead of going back to his relatives. I couldn't stand them from page 1 in the Sorcers' Stone! But was sad when he died in the Order of Pheonix
I've always Hated Severus for the simple fact that he's Dark and you could never really see a good side to him no matter which way I looked at him. Even when Hermione and Ron tried to play him up because Dumbledore trusted him, not because he treated gryffindor like crap because I thought Professor McGonaghall (sp?) always treat her house better than the others like Professor Snape did.
The Goblet of Fire, I loved it I think that was probably my favorite out of all 6 the Quidditch World Cup, and the Tri Wizard Tournament. I really hated how that Supposed professor was just UGH!!!!!!! I was sooooo furious when I found out he was taking that potion and was really someone else pretending to be the professor!!! But Harry won so its all gravy
The Order of the Pheonix, ok the absolute longest book I've ever read!!! But I Really liked it except for the fact that Sirius died from that stupid witch that destroyed longbottom's parents
I loved him too in all the books. Really comical even tho he wasn't trying to be. But yea I hated it. I don't blame harry for being as upset as he was. Altho I was upset but it really wasn't over sirius. It was I guess more over relating to Harry and his emotions through the situation. It was just heartbreaking to see a teen go through that because they should live like teens not deal with the troubles he does. But I guess there wouldn't be Harry Potter if he had an ordinary life!
Half Blood Prince, liked it, not as good as 3 and 4 IMO I knew Malfoy would be behind something before I read it. him and his "followers" I was just sad that after all the hard work Harry and everyone else was trying to do to stop him in the end it didn't work
And I agree with what other people were saying about the Necklace. I Don't know who R.A.B. but if I'm not mistaken the necklace was from the Hufflepuff house, and I have a feeling that a descendant from there might have taken it. Unless someone from the Order did that we haven't heard of. I was starting to think that Severus was the Half blood prince because Hermione, did bring up a point about his mother in the books that she found. I actually wouldn't be surprised that the book was his mothers, maybe Prince was Written in it and he put Half-Blood in front of it when she gave it to him when he went to school. I dunno. I really wish all of them would stay at Hogwarts for their last year. but Harry has to do what he has to do and his friends are going to let him down either.
I just hope the last one won't be a disappointment. I really like her writings. I've been thinking about finding out if she has other books out there but I just haven't done the research. I plan on buying them all in Hard Cover. Like I said above I borrowed my neighbors copies and if it wasn't for her I probably wouldn't have read them at all. I just don't have the $120-$180 to do it right now!! But thats ok =D Anyways anyone else have anything to say on any of the books? I thought I would start the new thread for all 6 and soon 7 when that one comes out since there is only the spoilers for the half -blood prince and the tiny thread for the regular half-blood prince
