NeoRoom Spotlight Submission Rules

OK..we've all agreed this would be a fun new addition to the guild so..here it is!!!!
Every month you can enter one room from your neohome that you think will fit into the catagory picked for that month. Example: Scary Bedroom
you should decorate your room to fit in the imagination of what you consider to be scary!

every person will have to send in a picture of the room that you created in your neohome.

How to take a picture of your neoroom:
first go to the room that you created...
Press Print Screen on your keyboard.

Open up an image program like PAINT and paste the print screen into the program. You can press CTRL V, right click and PASTE, go to EDIT > PASTE. Be sure to CROP the image so that only the room is in the image and you're ready to upload it to the internet! Oh, and be sure to save the image as a .JPG or .JPEG or .GIF file extension! now bunny and i have to hold down the shift key in order to get it to copy...so if you can't get yours to copy try that....

You don't have to build a huge neohome to partcipate....all you have to do is have one room that you can change as the contest changes..after the contest you can sell your furniture used in that room and get your nps back. Also one garden for garden decorated themes. (gardens only cost 100 nps to create)

all submissions should be turned in the first week of the month . after the 7th day of the month..all submissions will be posted on voted on by the guild members. When the winner is declared they will get to hold the title for the whole month. Email all submissions to my personal email [e-mail]...make sure to put in the subject line that it is a neoroom entrance submission so i won't think its junk mail and delete it...thanks!

i will try and declare the next theme for our next room atleast 2 weeks before time to turn in the next project. to give everyone the chance to decorate and earn nps for their projects.

i thought dl had explained how to copy and save room pictures...and i thought you had to click on the print setting offered on the room screen but i tried it and my computer wanted to print it and no option to save the picture....i'll find out

well i hit print screen and nothing happens on my computer..it worked fine when i had my old computer...not sure if its Vista or my new computer...but yeah the instructions Dl had in that post i found late last night where all he said was hit "print screen" but because i couldn't get it to work i just didn't post it...we have to do something that everyone can participate...if we can't find a way to get a picture, we may have to do a link like we do for theme week and the shops.....still not giving up on this idea though cause i think it would be nice to have all the pictures on one page

well looks like we're gonna have to do links to do the neoroom spotlight...cause it seems like its a vista problem and it wouldn't be fair for anyone to be unable to participate just cause of stupid vista

So how do we submit an entry and is there a deadline. Once submitted it cannot be changed am I correct?

yes the deadline is on the 7th of each month..all new challenges start on the first...gives you 7 days to enter your room.
we (members) will judge the rooms from the 8th til the end of that week...
then the winner will be announce...and given the title for that month....
then sometime around the 15th...the next room challenge will be announced for the designers...
to enter all you have to do is im me your want to submit your room , i guess you'll have to send the pictures of your neorooms to my email address (personal email)...
Please make sure you put in the subject box NEOHOME SPOTLIGHT picture....so i will know its not junk mail

For those of you who are having trouble deciding on what furniture to decorate with, www.jellyneo.net has an awesome item database that you can search. Type in "table" and it will show you all the tables available on neopets, etc. It was really helpful for me and Moreletta!

i will have to check it out...this is also a site that shows ariel views of rooms with like all bathtubs in it...petpet toys, in an actual neohome so you can see the rooms in comparision to the size of items in that room. dl posted it along time ago and they moved but here is the site. also if the items are not loading in neohomes they have a list of items that won't work and they don't show up in their listings of items avaliable in those rooms.
