I think we have an old tattoo thread around here somewhere, but I don't want to go hunt for it. So why don't we use this one to post our tattoos? Congratulations on your new ones, Cotton! I don't know about you, but I think they hurt! Mine took two hours with one five minute break in the middle. Thought I was gonna die! Anyway, a lot of you have already seen it, but for those of you that haven't, here is my little dragon. It's not visible unless I have a swimsuit on, so pretty much the only one that see it is Art. This picture was right after I got it so I'm still a little red here and there.  |

nice Bunny!!! i really like it! I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for around two years now but i keep changing my mind on what i want. but i think i've found what i want, here's a pic:  It's a perfect mixture of two things I have loved since I was little, Hello Kitty and Star Wars =) this is actually a painting that this one guy made, he does a lot of cartoonish art. I'm thinking of getting it on the inside of my upper arm or around one of my shoulders. It would be awesome to get a tat of a neopet somewhere random. |

The inside of your upper arm will NOT feel good.  Got any pain medication? Take it beforehand. But no alchohol..thins the blood and you bleed more during the process. Makes it harder for the artist. It might not be too bad though, because it doesn't have a lot of filled in areas. I think a little Faerie Uni would be cute...or maybe a Faerie Ixi. I like the old style art of the Ixi better than the new though. It's sweeter. |

yeah if i get it on my arm its gonna definetly hurt a lot, so ill take some kind of pain killer before. i've read about what you're supposed to do on a few sites and they all say no alcohol and nothing else that will thin your blood or you'll bleed everywhere. i went with one of my friends to get hers done. she got a flaming pheonix done on her entire left ribcage. it took like 6 hours. they say that's the most painful place to get one done too.
i would love to get a uni somewhere or a faerie poogle like my guild avie, i just don't know how many tat's im gonna end up with once i start =p

Very cool! Did you get it done in one sitting? I know sometimes with the larger designs they split it up into two visits. I bet it's your own design, isn't it? I like it. I'm assuming you play?

haha yeah i love to play music i just dont see me doing it for a living tho, it acutally took 3 sitting. 1 for outline of the tattoo second for the roses and star and last was the gutair its self. didnt cost me that much cuz i knew the owner of the tattoo shop but it was worth it haha

Oooh pretty tatts in this thread. It reminds me that I need to get to work fnishing designing my tattoo, I'm working on a teeny dragon to go on either my shoulder or the back of my neck

One of my best friend's sons is a tattoo artist. He has a shop in Indy. He drew my tattoo after I told him what I wanted. So no one will ever have one like it. I would have preferred it a bit smaller, but he said it would lose the detail I wanted. He's so talented. I'd kinda like to have another one, but darn....they HURT. lol |

haha yeah thats my only tattoo i have, i need to come up with a design for a chest tattoo i wanna to do. but i need the money first haha. i say you should make your first tattoo the big so if ever get a smaller tattoo later. youll know that it should hurt that much as the big or take that much time haha. "go big or go home" hahah

Haha, good theory, but I can only ever have small ones as when working (I'm currently on longterm sick) I tend to do office work so the easier it is to cover, the better

I sorta thought like you, Sanitize..might as well do it up right.
Mine doesn't ever show unless I have on a two piece swimsuit, so I don't have to worry about it affecting my work. Few people have seen it. Of course everyone at the tattoo party I was at saw it, Art sees it, and a few people in a couple of bars...lol...but that's about it. It's very low profile.

I'm finally getting a tattoo.. halloween weekend I'm getting a peace sign for my good friend Carmon who died a month ago today.. (i'm not super sad it's ok, i just remember all the good things about her.)
