really quiet interesting! and great prizes you picked out capt! and very appropriate that the first winner was someone who actually celebrates this holiday! and i so agree where are our male guardians...good call on that one !!!!! also another question for nfty or anyone that knows the answer..if you never blow out the candles..number one that would be a huge fire hazard and two how in the world do you find candles that last for 8 nights and don't burn out!?!?! lol my dad was an insurance agent so any house hazard i am overly aware of...and driving hazards too....paranoid of driving....if you run off the road and hit soft dirt..you can flip your car..but if you drive too close to the center lane you have the chance of a head on collision...jeeps short wheel base easily flipped over...blah blah blah..its a wonder i am not a nervous wreck!!!!

Very poetic, dl.
I watched a cooking show this morning, it was Sarah whats her name, and she did an entire Hanukkah dinner complete with the matza balls, brisket, and the fried apples in beer batter. She also did a matza ball soup. The matza balls she made to go on the platter with the brisket were flattened into disks, and the ones for the soup were round. I didn't realize they were so large. She had two in the soup about the size of a large golf ball...maybe bigger. Maybe she just made hers bigger. I thought they were supposed to be more like the size of a quarter or smaller, but what do I know? Anyway, it all looked really good.

Haha Fairy! I meant you don't blow them out for the night. Usually the Hannakah candles melt down and go out within a couple of hours. Then the next day you just light new ones!
Thanks Capt for the gifts. I love them!
