Hey everyone,
Sorry I have not been as much as usual and probably still won't be on as much as normal for a little while because I am....well getting a divorce. It's a long story but it boils down to my husband is way too controlling and he cheated on me. So...yeah.

Oh my, Kris. I'm so sorry to hear that. It happens...I know that firsthand...twice even....but it's no fun at all, even if you are the one that wants the divorce. It's a very difficult time, and I'm sorry you are having to go through this. If you need to talk just let me know. Sometimes it's easier to talk to someone outside of your own family. |

Well my Boo isn't as awful as being in a divorce, but it is definitely a Boo. A couple of weeks ago I booked a summer vacation to Turkey. Yesterday, the day before our departure, I got a phone call. It was Speedtravel, the organization were I'd booked my trip. He had some bad news. The organization had been declared bankrupt...so our trip has been canceled. And believe me, it's almost impossible to get a new trip since everybody is going abroad. We are having one lousy summer. Ah well, we are going to Kos, Greece. Well see. But it is definitely a bugger!  |

Yesterday when I left to visit Mom and Dad and do some grocery shopping, my computer was just dandy. When I got home and went to "wake it up", it wouldn't. Restarted it about 20 times...all KINDS of graphics problems. When everything did load, it would lock up inside of two minutes. So....it's going up to Mitch AGAIN. I'm about ready to take this one as my computer. I was reluctant to switch over to it because it is a new system running Vista, and I wasn't all that crazy about all the glitches Vista still has, and the trouble you get into running some older programs, BUT THIS IS GETTING ANNOYING!!!!!!!
And, Mitch just found out he's working 10 1/2 hour shifts, at least 5 days a week, so I'm sure fiddling with my computer is exactly how he wants to spend his free time. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I would just like to hang on to my old familiar computer a while longer. sigh

i agree bunny...its so hard to give up your operating system to move up...i wish they gave you the option of what operating system you wanted loaded on your it was hard for me to give up windows 98....but now i love my xp but i want to stick with xp...i can fix so many of the small problems myself..well not sure if i can now, my xp disc i used to reformat the boys lost in their pig sty we call their bedroom...and no matter how much we've tried to clean that room= its still be absorbed to some unknown place in that pit. and i do have another disc to reformat with but.....the other disc had all the codes i needed like registration key and one other number you use....ugggg

My grandfather (my mother's dad) just passed away this morning. I hadn't seen him in eight years, and last my mother saw her own dad was two years ago, so this is very difficult getting through. She's spending time with my grandmother right now.

I'm so sorry to hear that. What a sad time for you and your family. I lost my last grandparent Christmas before last when my Grandma passed away....it's a sad thing. I just try to remember what a long, good life she had...so maybe if you try to do that about your grandfather that will help ease your pain a little bit. I hope so.
