well they did give me medicines for nausea, acid reflux and an antibotic..which the acid part was causing a lot of the pain i think but laying down resting today has really helped...i think the kids not being here today has helped to..no stress on top of the sickness itself..but i have felt some better..the pain still there just not as intense and comes more in spurts and not as often...but the first day and last night and this morning it was constant...which is the only reason i decided it wasn't a stomach virus and i needed to get checked on...but i told them i didn't feel good enough to come to the doctors. but thank goodness my doctor is quick about getting patience in the office and i didn't have to sit for an hour..my last dr i would have to sit for atleast an hour if not more to get seen with an appt. not to mention if you had to be worked in..the hospital where i went for xrays took a while longer but i knew it was gonna be over once i got through that...but i really want to hear back from them asap...cause my sister, sister in law, and best friend in the past 2 years have all had their gall bladders taken out...it seems like it is out of the ordinary too common for such a small town...my sister in law said she knows a ton of people in our area that have also had theirs fail or go bad in the past couple years...kind of makes you wonder...but we'll see...i hope its not..really don't care for surgery's. but don't like pain either..thanks for the thoughts and getting better wishes...i will keep you guys informed but with the tragic findings on leigh i did want to give everyone thumbs up in case i wasn't around for a few days didn't want any panics.

I hope the meds help and it isn't something that requires surgery. Odd, my dad is having his out on the 24th of this month, and my close friend here had her's out last year. Dad's isn't hurting at all, but Beth's did, quite a bit.
Let us know what you find out.

i'm not sure if anyone here is in the medicial field or not but the last wednesday of november our wireless modem dropped and quit..so i took the modem off and hooked my internet directly up to our telephone modem...while doing this i was given an electric shook...talking about a burn! but it took several days for it to come out completely to its worst looking point..and it was on both arms the right arm wasn't as bad but heal lastly...well i had gone to the dr for sinus problems and thought i'd mention it to him..they said it looked like eczema and my son drake has that but i never had a problem with my skin before. but anyway i let it go even though it hurt really bad to the point where taking a shower and the water on it was like a fresh burn over and again... the pictures don't do it justice but you can see the extent of the coverage area....here are the pictures i took for proof in case it did internal damage like they say electric burns can do.....http://s67.photobucket.com/albums/h305/fairy_tale_girl/Fall%20and%20winter%20holidays%202006/
anyway i realized last night that my stomach problems have been on and off and progressively gotten worse since this time...so not sure if this could be something that was caused by the shock...and thought if anyone knew about the medical field or burns they might be able to tell me if it could. i never treated the burns with the eczema cream after the first day he told me to apply it cause as i told the dr...drakes eczema itches him to death..mine doesn't itch it burns! but it eventually went away...i will say since then too my skin i have to coat down in vaseline on my hands each night because of the dry skin and parts of my legs as well..which i did do that to the burns each night because the skin got to the point of leather look..anyway if anyone has any idea if what i am telling you is a possibility or not please let me know...thanks

Lisa, my good friend of 20+ years who is an RN might know something. I sent her your info, including the link to your pictures. I can't stay on here now because I have to go somewhere, but I'll check back on later and see if she has replied. She may be working today so she might not see it right away. But I'll let you know as soon as she gets back to me. She's been a nurse for YEARS so maybe she'll have an idea. I think the pictures are pretty severe for eczema, but it could be. Maybe she'll have some info.

did you mention to your dr about getting shocked as bad as you did and that's when everything really started? it could be a very significant bit of information to help them out
i hope the docs have good news for you tomorrow

well the dr i saw was just a doctors assistant... he did send me to the eye dr to make sure the shock didn't hurt my eyes but other than that it was dropped..so i didn't go back about it...i didn't want him to think i was looking for a lawsuit or anything or trying to get meds that weren't needed...but i did call around about it..i called the er and they wouldn't tell me if i should or shouldn't come..they said it was my call..but i asked if i came would they be able to do something to stop this burn but anyway just before i had made an appt with a dermatologist..they were closed the first day i called and then the weekend came and it had finally gotten to the point were it was looking normal...but this is like 15 days later

Do you still have the pain in your stomach area? Did everything check out ok there? I just wondered if it was all connected somehow.

So sorry girl I know what having a gallbladder pain feels like, in july of 03 I had to had mine taken out. The pain came out of nowhere, one day I had some lunch meat that you get prepackaged and I was hurting really bad 20 minutes later, it was right below the right side of my rib cage, next thing I knew I was vomiting thankfully I seen it coming and could run up the stairs in time because the apt I was in didn't have bath up and down stairs just up. It was sorta like a townhouse but not as fancy. Then I was fine, the next day the same thing happened so we went to or university hospital and they were so backed up, I was waiting for 3 hours. My ex b/f at the time asked if I wanted to go home or somewhere else, I told him to go to another one, I wasn't in pain and I was tired but I want to make sure it was nothing major. They admitted me right away into th er, the next thing I heard was that I was being admitted into a room for up stairs, they took an ultrasound of my gallbladder (I still have the photo they gave me, lol) They said I had to have an emergency gallbladder surgery. The surgery wasn't a big deal, they said it normally takes about an hour to do the procedure but I kept passing the gallstones during the surgery so it took a little longer than expected. They told me to rest in bed or on the couch for a week don't lift anything too strenuous (up to 10 lbs) and then come back to get the staples removed. If it is your gallblatter I hope it will be ok long enough to wait till you can see the dr. My mom also had to have the surgery but they caught hers in time to do it as an outpatient. I wouldn't wish the pain on anyone because to me it feels worse than having contractions!!! Take care girlie you'll be in my prayers!!

see that is the mild pains i am having like the beginings of labor..and its all in my upper right side...and i haven't thrown up but have been extremely sick to my stomach feeling...and i had mini boughts on and off since i would say the beginning of dec. i kept thinking i was getting the stomach virus..then i would feel ok...but this time the acid is so heavy and i am typically not a gassy person but i have had gas that woud make exxon jealous..thank god no smell but still you hear a toot and everyone runs for cover lol. i am sure everyone is really thrilled with this post lol wayyyy TMI but atelast again no smells...and the big pain is worse than the beginning contractions of pregnancy..almost like i had when they took me off the epidural and put me on pitocin...anyone who has had that drip put on them during labor can feel my pain now. but now the pain is constant all day and not going away....or the beginning contraction feelings..and at times there feels like there is a alien living in my upper right side...you can feel something rolling inside there...but no pregnant i know that...but its all on my right side and yes i am so tired but thinking that is just your natural defense to the pain. anyway its bugging me which is why i guess i am glad i have somewhere i can write about it..i am sure its annoying but i just want to know what is going on and why...i tend to harp on things that bug me and i can't figure out the answers...that and i want to fix whatever its is...the dang 24th is way too far away!!!!
