Hopefully it won't take the full 4 weeks to get the results back. It's always hard to change your diet. I never have been able to stick to a diet, cuz I like food too much! I feel for you. Keep us updated!

well i think i know why they are making me wait 4 weeks..i went to the surgeon today and he said thinks looked good as far as my incisions and my getting around. but when they told me to walk and it would help me recoop faster they weren't kidding it really helped..but i had to sneak a cigarette in a couple times a day so i was motivated...and had to walk quiet a distance to get to a spot where i could smoke. anyway...now they say in two weeks (they wanted to give me some recoop time) they want to do an upper GI on me..so i guess they want to have all the results before seeing me. i guess they found something that is causing them to further investigate...but when the surgeons called to make the GI appt. they said ulcer diesease...so not sure if that is what is going on or what they are concerned with.

I know what you mean, when i had to have surgery back in '04 they had to do so many tests on me that my $500 deductible was already met by the time they did the surgery. I really hope you find out soon what else is going on.

Gee, she sure has been in there a long time. They send you home sooner than that after surgeries! I can't understand why they can't figure out what is causing her pain.

I'm starting to get really scared for her cuz I know how bad things can go for her over something as simple as a gall bladder removal

I mean I spent almost that whole month in there, but we at least knew what was wrong and how to prevent it, this is off the charts weird

thanks for posting that lindsey....he is what all happened this time around! ok i am back..never figured out what was wrong...but on my dismissal papers from the hospital...it said if i had pain in my right shoulder to come to the ER or pain that is there and gets worse or won't go away...well i had pain in my shoulder that wouldn't go away after using icy hot on it and even a back massager...so instead of going i called the nurses station that tended to me during my previous stay and asked what they thought..i told them i had a some pain meds i could take but didn't want to mask something that might be a sign of a problem...seeings how it was specifically listed...i also had pain throughout my whole rib cage area...but more in the right shoulder..so they suggested i go to the ER just to be safe. So i went, they examined me, sent me for xrays...there was sever gas (which is typical because they blow your stomach up with gas during surgery to help them get around easier without disrupting other organs) but there was a pocket of gas they were concerned about and the ER doctor thought maybe i had a leak in my colon so called my surgeon and they did a Cat Scan on me and the cat scan also came back abnormal...and they said it still seems by the scan my colon was leaking but because i wasn't nearly as sick as i would be if indeed i had a leak....and by the time i had to drink the Bilirium drink and threw up some of that (i guess released enough of that gas to feel better) i was feeling much better and myself again. should still sore but manageable pain...he said there was no way i could feel good enough to have that complication but my surgeon they called suggested they hospitalized me and he would come in sunday morning to see what the scan and xrays were showing...he too was convinced i couldn't have a leak..but then kept me until today for observation. now the hopsital served me supper yesterday and he asked me if i felt well enough to go home..i told him yes for now but it takes a while after i eat for the pains to kick in so he decided to keep me another night on solid foods to see how my body reacted. a few hours later i was bent over in the bed hurting to the point of not being able to talk...thank god keven came in and helped me move the gas some out of my back by rubbing my back for me.....then again i felt fine..so i told the nurses i was going to walk to make sure i didn't have more gas build up....so keven and i walked for a while and i had to go back to the room...and again got sick...but i think the food was at one time fried then baked..which you can't do that...then they sent me a hamburger and french fries for supper which i didn't dare touch...i stuck to jello and peanut butter crackers later that night....and did fine... its been hell but i am home again now..they never did find anything but they are going to have to do another camera down the throat process before long to see something else they are now concerned about....fun fricken fun!

omg! how scary... I really hope "it" just stops hurting you, period. since they can't seem to find what "it" is, i want "it" to just stop.... I'm glad you're home hun, I've been so worried about you wondering what's going on... Kevin's a life saver or I surely would have had a heart attack or at the very least a stroke by now agonizing over what's going on

well he knew to contact you directly off my friends list if something were to happen...he doesn't know the others on my friends list are from the guild..he knows some of them are just not which ones...but knew you and i kept in pretty close contact and you would pass on the info..so i only had ask once and he will probably always do that if something happens....i guess one passing on info without over kill of hearing about me...but i agree..i am a pin cushion and had to get out of there before they got inventive on where to draw blood from and they had to move my IV a couple times each time i have been in....they suck at needle sticks!... today i haven't had but minor aches and pains so far....but catching up laundry has been a chore and a half.... and i am trying to be very careful of what i eat so that helps...but man real food is so appealing right now..they had me on liquid diets most every time i was in but the last day and they wanted to see how i responded to food before releasing me...if it happens again i will ask someone to bring me food from outside the hospital cause they obviously think just because fried chicken and french fries are cooked in an oven they are ok to eat....but my stomach said no it doesn't work that way. i will say the first thing i did for a meal tonight was go to the seafood dept at walmart and get some King crab legs...steamed and they were perfect...i only got two claws but they were delicious and sat on my stomach perfect..just can't afford to live on those...2 claws alone were 20.00. but it was worth it..so sick of jello and popsicles...but i can eat them lol.
