Well I hope that the classes work for you. I'm sure it's easier when you've got a support system like that. Right now with warren working at the golf course, we don't have insurance so i can't afford to go to the doctor. I'm going to be turning in an application to McKee Foods shortly, but I'm trying to wait until we get the car fixed, because I'll probably get on second shift and Warren wouldn't have a vehicle to pick the kids up from the sitter. We bought a minivan because we have 4 kids and we could all barely fit in the car and we needed a second vehicle, but like 2 weeks before we got the van bought the car broke down on us so we still only have one vehicle! Once I have insurance though I would love to go to the doctor and him give me something to help me quit.
When do you go back to the doctor lisa?

well your hospital might offer such classes...with a family your size and only one working spouse can you get on medicaid? with kids its so easy for one atleast to be or get sick, that insurance is something you guys definately need....even if he makes to much i believe there is also an insurance they offer where a discount rate for incomes below a certain level but too much for medicaid..i don't know the exacts but that is what happened with a friend of mine when her and her husband split up and she made too much for medicaid but couldn't afford regular insurance prices..anyway its something to check into i think its blue cross and blue shield as well...

I do have the kids on medicaid, but in mo you have to make less than 500 a month to get medicaid if you're an adult. I hadn't thought about getting the mc+ for adults, but I probably still couldn't afford to, I'm going to be getting a job pretty soon, but I'm trying to get warren to fix the car so he'll have something to drive while I'm at work. I'll have to call our caseworker and see how much it would be for the mc+. Thanks lisa, I had totally forgotten that they offered that.

hey sometimes it takes many brains to think of all the things they offer out there to those in need...lindsey usually is the one who knows all the legal and helpful things...but i am thinking that friend of mine only had to pay 50 a month which is not bad at all..... but that was for one adult too so i don't know

I'm lucky that the military takes care of all of our health insurance needs. Once we get out in the real world and have to actually pay for it though I am sure it is going to be a shock how much it actually costs.
