I still just want to hug him! But that might prove difficult soon..see the length of his claws? Hmmmmm...he might be quite a handful. (But I'd still like to pet him)

Oh my gosh he is so cute. I love animals. He almost weighs as much as my dog. He's also black and white like my dog.

i just love the panda... so giant in size but so cuddly in appearance! they look like good natured animals but i am sure as any other wild animal they probably aren't if for no other reason than them having to defend themselves to preserve their existence.

My sister-in-law sent me info about this website : www.nbc17.com/news/5467191/detail.htmlThere were SIXTEEN baby pandas born in Sichuan, China!!! If you go there you can see pics of the babies. They are so cute!!! There is a slide show you can watch. There were five sets of twins, too. There is even a story about Tai Shan taking his first steps, and a slide show of him. I think if China has so many baby pandas we should get to keep Tai Shan!!!

I haven't updated this for some time now, so here is a link that shows photos of Tai from the time he was born until now. nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/GiantPandas/MeetPandas/PandaCubGallery/thumbnails.cfmHe's 9 months old now! This is the latest news on him: April 14: Back to His Old Haunt Tai Shan now weighs 45 pounds. Over the past week, and with the onset of warm weather, he has retreated to his old haunt along the fence line. Until the trees leaf out, the cozy place where the hill drops off to the fence line seems to be an alternate cool spot to rest in. When he is awake, Tai spends his time tucked in on his back, juggling pieces of bark in his feet. He also has to taste everything around him.

*squeal* I L O V E pandas!!! They are my favorite animal! Whenever I go to the San Diego Zoo I spend most of my time watching them and taking pics! Tai Shan is soooo adorable! It's so great that they're finally having more success with rescuing the giant panda population!
